The Details
VACAYA’s 2027 Europe Christmas Markets Cruise is a sold‑out, seven‑night river journey sailing December 9–16, 2027, from Budapest to Nuremberg aboard the boutique river vessel Transcend Evolve. The experience is designed as an intimate holiday adventure through Europe’s most enchanting winter landscapes, blending grand capitals, medieval towns, and iconic Christmas Market destinations. VACAYA positions the cruise as a festive, community‑driven celebration filled with warmth, belonging, and the magic of the season.
The itinerary highlights some of Europe’s most beloved holiday cities. Guests begin in Budapest before continuing to Bratislava, Vienna, Dürnstein, Melk, Passau, Regensburg, and finally Nuremberg. Each stop showcases its own seasonal charm—from Vienna’s imperial holiday splendor to Regensburg’s medieval glow and Nuremberg’s world‑famous Christkindlesmarkt. Scenic sailing through the Wachau Valley and Bavaria adds storybook winter scenery to the journey, creating a seamless blend of exploration and festive atmosphere.
Life onboard Transcend Evolve centers on comfort, elegance, and connection. The ship serves as a floating boutique hotel with stylish staterooms, signature entertainment, themed cocktail parties, social activities, and all‑inclusive dining and beverages. Amenities include a full spa, Technogym fitness zone, yoga deck, e‑bikes, and wellness programming. Staterooms feature modern touches such as smart privacy glass, premium linens, multiple charging options, quiet‑sleep technology, and thoughtful storage, while suites offer expanded living spaces and enhanced services.
VACAYA emphasizes the value of the experience through its inclusive offerings and curated holiday atmosphere. Included in the fare are luxury accommodations, all meals, alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages, Wi‑Fi, scenic cruising, access to Christmas Market destinations, and VACAYA’s signature entertainment and hosting. Optional add‑ons include shore excursions, spa treatments, salon services, and laundry. The company strongly encourages CFAR travel insurance and early booking for future trips due to high demand.
The cruise culminates with an overnight finale in Nuremberg, home to one of Europe’s most iconic Christmas Markets. VACAYA encourages guests to extend their stay to enjoy more of the city’s holiday magic. Although the 2027 sailing is sold out, travelers can join the waitlist or pursue upgrade opportunities as availability shifts. Overall, the voyage is presented as a luxurious, heartfelt, and immersive way to experience Europe’s Christmas traditions while celebrating the season with a vibrant LGBTQ+ community.
